This role is primarily responsible for ensuring that all products and processes consistently meet quality standards and customer expectations. Work outside normal business hours is possible. PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each primary duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the primary duties. · Enhance and manage our QMS Manual, documented procedures and written work instructions ensuring compliance with AS9100 / ISO:9001 standards. · Lead all APQP related customer expectations (Risk Assessments, Control Plans, FMEA’s and PPAP’s). · Conduct quarterly Management Review meetings, lead and conduct all internal/external quality audits. · Establish, manage and report Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) for the business unit. · Document and lead resolution for NCR’s and Opportunities for Improvement · Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) representative for the business unit · Other duties and responsibilities as assigned. This position will be based out of our Auburn Hills, MI facility. Requirements: QUALIFICATIONS The requirements listed below are representative of the education, experience, skills and/or abilities required. An individual must meet the minimum requirements as listed in each qualification’s subsection. EDUCATION · Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience in regulatory compliance coordination and implementation of quality standards (AS9100/ISO9001). EXPERIENCE · Minimum 7 years of quality related experience, regulatory compliance coordination, and implementation of quality standards (AS9100/ISO9001). · Strong background in Quality Management and APQP methodology. SKILLS & ABILITIES · Knowledge of AS9100/ISO:9001 Quality Standards · Ability to write, control and implement policies, procedures and operator work instructions. · Team-oriented person with the ability and desire to monitor, motivate and lead teams at all levels. · Skilled in problem solving and corrective action methods (8D, CAPA’s, Root Cause Analysis, etc…). · Knowledge of the five key phases of APQP methodology. · Internal Auditing skills and the ability to train other Internal Auditors · Efficient use of process flow software tools (Visio or similar). · Knowledge of JobBoss2 manufacturing ERP system · Familiarity with Agile PLM software would be helpful · Knowledge of manufacturing traceability standards · Ability to read, understand, and correctly interpret regulations and communicate them effectively. · Ability to effectively present information to top management and corporate representatives. · Must be detail-oriented, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, strong communication and documentation skills. · Skilled in Capacity Planning, Tool Calibration and regularly scheduled inspections requirements. · Ability to work with minimal supervision managing all quality related written documentation, internal/external communication and regulatory/customer requirements. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The work is primarily sedentary, requiring extended periods of sitting or standing to perform the work. There may be some movement from area to area to transport items weighing no more than 15 pounds. Physical tasks include walking, grasping, carrying, lifting, assembling, listening, writing, speaking, and traveling. WORK ENVIRONMENT : While performing the primary duties of the job, the employee is regularly exposed to a manufacturing and general office environment. Work outside normal business hours is possible.
