Job Description Job Description ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND
RESPONSIBILITIES: Translate model outputs (duty, flow, ?T, ?P,
fan/pump curves) into hardware choices for the blower, radiator,
condenser, evaporator, reservoir, pumps, valves, and line sizes
Architect the system: single vs dual loop, degas and reservoir
strategy, fill/bleed points, hose/line routing, quick-connects,
brackets, and service access Build parametric NX assemblies,
drawings, and mounting schemes; release parts/assemblies in
Teamcenter (TC) Own the thermal system BOM and PFEP (part numbers,
revisions, lead times, packaging/handling) Drive supplier sourcing,
DFM/DFA, and should-cost/quote reviews; align cost with performance
targets Run quick checks (hand calcs or simple spreadsheets) to
sanity-check model recommendations and guide iterations Define
sensor set and control needs (fan maps, pump control, compressor
requests) with software/controls Write DVP&R and test plans
(cool-down, defrost/defog, hill climbs, hot/cold soak,
splash/dust); use test data to confirm model predictions and update
the design Support prototype builds (Alpha/Beta/DV/PV);
troubleshoot bleed, noise, vibration, and routing issues; close
actions with clear root-cause notes Coordinate interfaces with
chassis, body, battery, powertrain, and Studio/PDO for packaging
and airflow
