As Group Lead you will oversee the day-to-day operations and supervise a team of drivers while conducting random audits to ensure service is being delivered as outlined by our customers What does Vascor have to offer? Experience with meeting valid external customer requirements, supervisory/managerial capabilities, process management, and PC skills. Provide clear written and verbal instruction to employees and promptly address any questions or concerns. Educate and train new team members as well provide support for the Yard Manager. Ensure health and safety regulations are always obeyed. Planning daily activities and delegating tasks. Analyze group performed and make recommendations for improvement. Follow company policies and procedures Qualifications Essential Skills and Experience: Education 4-year college degree or 4 years’ management experience. Training Demonstrated “expert” level usage of MS office products including Excel, Access, and Power Point. Understanding and experience with Total Quality management Skills Teamwork, decision-making, problem solving, communications, customer focus, confidentiality, planning, organizing, process management, tolerance of ambiguity, and time management. Oriented towards continuous learning Experience with QMS / ISO 9001 This position requires the following physical demands: Lifting up to 25 lbs. 1-3 hrs. throughout the day Standing 6-8 hours/day Walking, 6-8 hrs./day ( Reach above shoulder level 1-3 hrs./day and Bend, Stoop, Squat, and or twist-Repeatedly throughout day. Environmental On the job the employee: May be exposed to excessive noise depending on job location and operations in progress May be around moving machinery and equipment daily Depending on work location, it may be exposed to marked changes in temperature and/or humidity May be exposed to dust, fumes, gases, radiation, chemicals depending on the work location May be required to drive motorized equipment depending on the work location Potentially walks on uneven ground May be required to drive motorized equipment such as golf cart or company vehicle General sign-off: The employee is expected to adhere to all company policies and to act as a role model in the adherence to policies.
