Job Description Job Description Master's degree in Occupational
Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1 year of
Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not
meet these qualifications will not be considered. Seeking a skilled
Occupational Therapist to support a diverse K-12 student population
across multiple buildings in the Detroit area. This contracted,
school-year position involves working with a mixed caseload of
students requiring specialized occupational therapy services to
enhance their academic and functional performance. Location:
Detroit, Michigan Multiple school buildings within the district,
serving students from kindergarten through 12th grade Key
Responsibilities: Provide direct occupational therapy evaluations
and interventions tailored to individual student needs Collaborate
with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to develop
effective Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Utilize
therapeutic techniques to improve fine motor skills, sensory
processing, and daily living activities Track student progress and
maintain accurate documentation in compliance with school and state
guidelines Adapt therapy approaches to accommodate a wide range of
developmental levels and educational settings Qualifications and
Experience: Valid Occupational Therapy license with eligibility to
practice in Michigan Experience working in school settings with
K-12 populations preferred Ability to manage a caseload across
multiple buildings effectively Strong communication and
collaboration skills to work with educators and families Knowledge
of educational laws and therapy best practices within school
