working with Cynet Health to find a qualified MICU RN in Battle
Creek, Michigan, 49017! Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession:
Nursing Specialty: Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) Duration: 13
weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 1
year recent ICU experience required. License: Pending license
acceptable. Certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), NIHSS required.
Must-Have: - Ability to float to other ICU and Med-Surg units. -
Experience with various patient diagnoses including COPD,
encephalopathy, drug overdose, DKA, AKI, respiratory failure,
cardiac arrest, and A-fib. - Proficiency in special procedures such
as CRRT, HD, A-line placement, CVC placement, trach placement, and
chest tube placement. - Skills in cardiac monitoring, emergency
response, IV therapy, medication administration, and ventilator
management. Description: A Medical Intensive Care Unit nurse is
needed to provide high-quality care for critically ill patients.
The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills in managing
complex patient conditions. Patient ratios will vary based on
acuity, with a mix of ICU and PCU patients. Weekend work is
required, with every other weekend being the standard expectation.
RNs will float among other ICU and Med-Surg units as needed.
Candidates should have experience with various medical equipment
and procedures. Effective communication and collaboration with
interdisciplinary teams are essential. Candidates must be able to
work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple
priorities. All requests for time off must be disclosed prior to
